Plamtex is based at Kamnik, Slovenia. It is a SME, ranked as 3rd fastest growing company in sphere of injection molding and rubber industry and listed as one of 100 most successful companies in Slovenia. Plamtex employs a staff of 10 people and runs a total of 26 machines on 1500 m2 . Injection molding and mold making division is managed according to ISO 9001:2000 certificate (number of certificate Q-559). All injection molding machines are CNC type, made in EU and are able to control production with statistical process models.
The Company is equipped to produce various plastic parts from standard plastic parts, insert molding, 2K molding, applying different coatings on parts, controlling, coordinating and monitoring remotely the process.
MAIN TASKS IN THE PROJECT
Plamtex is fundamental in the Consortium for its experience in injection molding technique necessary for the development and manufacturing of a new plastic primary free form mirror as reflector (the Primary Optical Element).
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE AND PUBLICATIONS/PATENTS
Plamtex has over 20 year of experience in mould for thermoplastic. The Company produce moulds for part with tolerances are high as +-0,01mm on the part. In the production line are also visible parts for rear lights for several premium auto brands (for instance Audi, BMW, Mercedez-Benz).
